The American Heart Association BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). Course completion card issued immediately after course on site.
Subject Matter
· High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
· The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
· Important early use of an AED
· Effective ventilations using a barrier device
· Importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR
· Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infant

Equipment Required
CPR-AED for healthcare providers 2020 Book is required for this course. You can purchase the provider manual or e-book at https://shop.cpr.heart.org/courses/bls or the manual can be purchased at time of class for $25.00
