Critical Skills Course - Pistol / Carbine Training

 6hr Range Day- $250 (Includes Range Fee) 

This course will be offered in Pistol and Carbine. Learn how to apply the fundamentals to achieve a balance of SPEED and ACCURACY from a static shooting position. Increase your reaction times to stop a threat. This course will assist developing your combat mindset by adding stressors for shooters to overcome. Staying focused on a task, and maintaining situational awareness during a high-stress situation requires mental and physical training. This training is the beginning of your journey to Combat Mindset. KEEP TRAINING! 

· Basic Fundamentals Revisited and Proficiency Shoot

· Prep Sights Press drill (Flash Sight Picture Engagement)

· Draw from the Holster (Carbine: High Ready/Low Ready)

· Reloads and Malfunction drills; Stay in the Fight

· Rhythm drills: 3, 5, 6. Stop the Threat

· Vertical and Horizontal Threat Transition/Multiple Threats

· Use of Cover and Concealment

· One-handed Shooting (Pistol Only)

· Tactical Mindset/Situational Awareness

· Develop Speed and Accuracy

· Critical Skills Pistol (Carbine) Proficiency Shoot 

• Good Fundamentals and safe firearms handling. Safely draw from a holster. Be able to  conduct safe load, unload and reload of your firearm.
• Marksmanship:
• At a minimum place 5 round groups within a 8" circle from 5yds consistently. (Pistol)
• Have taken the Gunner Defense Fundamental of Defensive Pistol / Carbine or an equivalent verifiable course.
• Adult individuals who are not disqualified from possessing a firearm defined by federal, state, or local law.

For Pistol Course:

• Pistol (semi-auto .22LR-.45Cal magazine capacity 6 rounds min.
• ·Magazines (3 min) with Magazine holder belt mounted.
• ·Ammunition (300 rounds min)
• ·Holster (outside the waistband belt mounted) (Nil for Carbine)
• ·Hearing Protection (Electronic preferred)
• ·Eye Protection (Prescription Glasses if required)
• ·Water and Snacks as required

For Carbine Course

• Carbine (AR/AK/Pistol Carbine platform recommended but not required
• ·Carbine Caliber .22LR-45 Cal magazine capacity 10 rounds min)
• Magazine 3 minimum 
• Magazine holder, belt or load bearing vest configuration
• Ammunition (300 rounds min.)
• Sling preferred
• Hearing Protection (Electronic preferred)
• Eye Protection (Prescription Glasses if required)
• Water and Snacks as required

Shooters who want to be challenged and develop the ability to engage targets rapidly and accurately with an increased sense of situational awareness. Recognize and understand how to utilize cover and gain the advantage in a hostile situation. 

This course will provide development of the Combat Mindset = Mindset + Tactics + Skills.

If the course has less than 3 people registered it may be cancelled and a full refund will be granted.

If Gunner Defense has to cancel a course for any reason a full refund will be granted.

If a cancellation is within 48hrs of the start of the course, $50 will be withheld from the refund to cover prior administration cost. No refund shall be granted for no shows or cancellations on the day of the course.

*Completion of this course is a prerequisite for the Critical Skills Movement Course.
