About the Course

The NRA nationally certified Basics of Rifle Shooting provides knowledge and how to operate rim fire and center fire rifles of all action types. Firearms safety, selection considerations, care and maintenance and storage are also covered in this course. If you inspire to become an NRA Instructor this course is a prerequisite.

· Load and Unload

· Fundamental of Marksmanship

· Selecting Ammunition

· Live Fire Practice

· Sight Adjustments

· Shooting Positions

· Qualification Level Shoot

· Rifle of caliber between .22LR to .308. (Iron Sights or Optics with No Magnification)

· We recommend using the smaller caliber for this course

· Rental gun with ammunition will be available if required

· Ammunition: 150 rounds of factory loaded ammunition 

· Eye and Hearing Protection

· Note taking material

· New or novice to firearms

· Great prerequisite before attending higher skilled level courses

· First step to become an NRA Rifle Instructor.

Shooters must register at least 48hrs before the start date of the course. 

If the course has less than 3 people registered it may be cancelled and a full refund will be granted.

If Gunner Defense has to cancel a course for any reason a full refund will be granted.

Cancellations within 48hrs of the start of the course, $50 will be withheld from the refund to cover prior administration cost. Cancellation or no show on the day of the course no refund shall be granted.

* At the completion of this course you will be awarded a nationally recognized NRA Certificate

* NRA Instructor candidates must take the full day Instructor led class in order to attend the NRA Rifle Instructor Course
